Citizens Advice Diss and Thetford December 2024 Marketing Email

We are

Citizens Advice Diss Thetford & District

As we approach the close of 2024 and begin to enjoy some well-earned downtime, I want to take a moment to extend heartfelt thanks to our incredible CADAT team.

This year has been one of remarkable effort and achievement, and it’s all thanks to the dedication of our volunteers, staff, and NEDs. Each of you has gone above and beyond, working tirelessly across our projects to create meaningful and lasting change in Norfolk’s communities.

A special thank you also goes out to our valued partners. Your support has been instrumental in helping us extend our reach and deepen our impact across Norfolk. This year, we’ve strengthened existing collaborations and welcomed new ones, building the foundations for even greater achievements in the future.

Together, we have supported over 11,000 individuals with over 26,000 issues through general and specialist advice.

Your hard work and commitment have made a real difference, and it doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you for everything you do – we couldn’t do it without you. Here’s to a restful break and an exciting year ahead!

Our 2024 Highlights

Summer Ball at Caistor Hall

CADAT’s Summer Ball at Caistor Hall was a resounding success, bringing together our community for an evening of elegance and enjoyment. The event featured live music, a delightful dinner, and a charity auction, all contributing to a memorable night. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who attended and supported this wonderful occasion.

Pension Wise – 10th Anniversary

This year, we proudly celebrated a decade of collaboration with Citizens Advice West Northants and Cherwell, providing free, impartial pension guidance through Pension Wise. Our sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed to this invaluable service.

B2B Exhibition

We had an incredible time at the B2B Exhibition at the Norfolk Show, where we had the perfect opportunity to showcase what CADAT is all about.

A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stand—it was wonderful to share our story and discuss exciting opportunities for collaboration.

The Shelf Launch

This year, The Shelf celebrated its first anniversary, making a big impact in our community by reducing food waste and providing support to those in need. With 430kg of veg given away and countless connections made, thank you to all who made it possible—here’s to many more years!

The Shelf Pop-up

This year, we brought The Shelf to you with the launch of our Pop-Up Pantry! By traveling to different areas, we’ve made it easier for more people to access fresh produce and essentials. Huge thanks to our volunteers and donors for helping us spread care and reduce food waste.

2024 AGM

This year, we gathered volunteers, staff, NEDs, community members, and partners at The Corn Hall in Diss for our AGM. Together, we reflected on our achievements, including supporting over 11,000 individuals with over 26,000 issues through general and specialist advice.

One Year of The Shelf

This year marked an incredible milestone as The Shelf celebrated its first anniversary. Over the past year, this small space has made a big impact—bringing the community together, reducing food waste, and providing good food to those in need.

From helping a volunteer build confidence to secure a new job, to supporting a mum with homeschooling and ensuring she had a working cooker, The Shelf has been a hub of care and connection. It’s also been a place for simple joys, like sharing a cup of tea and a chat.

With support from our amazing volunteers, local growers, and generous donors like Tudor Bakehouse and Norfolk Knitters, we’ve given away approximately 430kg of homegrown veg and so much more.

Thank you to everyone who made this possible—your kindness and commitment are what make our community stronger. Here’s to many more years of impact! ❤️
